Matribhasha Diwas was celebrated at St. Thereza’s Convent High School, Raia on 19th February 2020 in order to hold our Mother Tongue with due honour and respect and create awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions. The following activities were conducted with great fervor.
The Preamble of the Constitution was read in the mother tongue followed by folk songs, a folk dance and poems in Konkani.
The ethereal charm of nature and the environment coupled with the appealing culture and tradition of Goa was highlighted in our Mother Tongue.
The activities held at the event helped to deepen our love to protect and promote our beloved Matribhasha.
St. Thereza’s Convent High School, Raia established in 1949, is a School recognised and aided by the Government of Goa. It is managed by the Educational Society of the Handmaids of Christ, Goa.
