Water, Water, Water
Water today is a global challenge
Water day celebration was held in our school from 7th to 8th September 2018 with the visit of the Mobile Science exhibition – a project of the Goa Science Centre, Miramar , Goa.
There were 20 exhibits on the topic “Water” such as:
1) Water – a primary need for any living thing
2) The mechanism of ground water purification
3) Aquatic ecosystem
4) How plants drink H2O
5) Your very own body of H2O
6) Life without H2O
7) Water borne diseases
8) What is H2O?
9) H2O lifting devices
10) Mapping H2O resources
11) H2O pressure
12) Properties of H2O
13) Rain H2O harvesting
14) H2O power
15) Water the liquid gold
16) H2O retention in soil
17) Types of irrigation
18) Fresh water
19) Global water scenario
20) Searching water on universe
Besides our students, the students of neighbouring schools were invited to participate in the exhibition. 170 students and 10 teachers from other schools visited the exhibition.
Twenty students of our school were trained to explain the various exhibits.
The exhibition on water was indeed very enriching and encouraging, creating an awareness on how we should take care of our precious resource “Water – The liquid gold”.
